In 2009 Mcasso won the commission to re-brand the 40 station BBC Local Radio Network. The package remained on air through two branding cycles up until 2020.
The project involved the creation of over 1000 unique cuts and the rebrands are a great demonstration of Mcasso’s capability to deliver the largest, most complex and most demanding radio branding briefs.
We created an original 3-note logo to work as the sonic branding across the stations, each station with its own slight variation of the logo based upon the name of the radio station. This compilation shows how the simple 3 note theme has evolved from conception.
